William Miller in this pamphlet titled “Views of Prophecy and Prophetic Chronology” laid out rules that he followed in order to search out and proclaim the three angel's messages. Ellen White wrote in RH Nov 25 1884 par 23-25 that "in our study of the Bible we shall do well to heed the principles set forth" in Miller's rules.
