Speciesism is a form of discrimination and bigotry, similar to racism or sexism, that seeks to proclaim one group as superior to another. Speciesism defines non-human animals as little more than objects to be used and abused for research, food, fabric, or entertainment, rather than individuals with their own interests, talents, abilities, and unique personalities, simply because they’re not human.
